Stephen hails from Greystones Co. Wicklow, where he has worked across a number of varied clinical settings and within a variety of sporting codes. Stephen first completed a degree in Sports Rehabilitation and Injury Prevention from the London Institute of Sport at Middlesex University and went on to complete his second degree in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin and a MSc in Manual Therapy at Coventry University.
Following completion of his MSc Stephen gained access to the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists which is a hallmark of quality and the UK chapter of the International Federation of Orthopaedic and Manipulative Physiotherapists
Stephen is a Clinical specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist who has worked across some high profile organisations including being the Clinical manager/ lead at Pure Sports Medicine St Paul’s London and a physiotherapist at Arsenal F.C. He is a highly motivated, enthusiastic and positive Physiotherapist who is focused on successful patient outcomes and results.
Stephen is an expert clinician, but he specialises in Spinal injuries, particularly with patients with persistent pain. He has lectured on topics in this area at Queen Mary University London as well as locally to patients in the UK. Stephen also has a keen interest in lower limb injuries particularly at the knee (ACL rehab) and injuries to the foot and ankle.
From his experiences, Stephen enjoys educating his patients to allow them to have a thorough understanding of their conditions, which allows them to take control and recover with confidence.
