Melanie graduated from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh, in 2014, where she received a Master's of Science in Physiotherapy. She has gained expertise in the UK from supporting teams at the European Volleyball Championships and local Rugby teams. Melanie moved to Dublin in 2018 after practicing in Canada for 4 years where she nurtured her interest in sports injuries and vestibular rehabilitation.
At our clinic her skills include hands on manual therapy, dry needling and acupuncture, neurokinetic therapy, and exercise therapy. All of which enables her to assist in the treatment of back/neck pain, vertigo/dizziness, sports specific injuries and a wide range of other conditions.
Melanie places an emphasis on patient education of diagnosis, prognosis, and individualised rehab plans to allow you to successfully reach all of your rehab goals. She has most recently begun her journey in becoming a clinical pilates instructor and has completed Level 1 through APPI.
In her own words
I have worked with many different populations; weekend warriors, elite athletes, paediatric and geriatric populations. I am level 2 certified in neurokinetic therapy and Level 1 Pilates APPI certified. Although I have a passion for sport injuries, my primary desire is to provide high quality, evidence-based, and client-centred care in order to help clients reach their personal goals. Outside of work, I enjoy participating in sports such as golf, football and volleyball; but also challenge myself with long distance running, yoga, and pilates.
